Welcome,
Today’s Wall Street Journal headline (9/21/21), “Stocks Record Biggest Slump Since Spring,” was precisely why Lions Mane Financial was founded. I am constantly reminded why my enlisted Army father of some 28 years emphasized his sons go to college and begin working. I was ten years old. Every paper route dime, cutting of the grass, or shoveling driveways and sidewalks went into a “Passbook Savings Plan,” paying some 7.5% in 1964. It was not the college lesson he wanted me to learn. Instead, he stressed putting some of your money where the interest and risk are more manageable.

Fast forward to almost a decade ago when several Air Force Fighter Pilots in Afghanistan received stay-in bonuses of sizable magnitude. They invested in a “Passbook Savings Plan” and received almost zero percent (averaged 0.07-0.17%). On a $100,000 investment, that equated to $100 per year. A call that day from my son, a Fighter Pilot, and his colleagues telling me we could do better became the foundation of our company today.

Respectfully,
